At SSQ, ("we", "us", "our") we recognise the importance of absolute confidentiality in the recruitment process. In order to help clients and visitors to this website ("you", "your") to find the right candidate, our consultants may collect, store and use information about you. This privacy policy ensures that we do this in accordance with your instructions and our statutory obligations. By using and visiting our website and providing us with information relating to your personal details you consent to this privacy policy.

What information do we keep about you and how do we store it?
Any personal details which we may collect via this website will be stored on our secure electronic database which is only accessible by our staff. We may also print out such details and store them securely in hard copy form.

How do we use the information we hold?
We use the information provided by you to us in order to provide you with suitable candidates and for us to keep in contact with you. We may use aggregate information (which does not identify you individually) for monitoring purposes.

Can you see a copy of the information we hold about you?
Yes. You, as an individual, have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you on our database. Please note that the extent of the information which we provide to you shall be in accordance with the Data Protection Act. You can send an email request to the contact address at the end of this privacy policy or speak to any of our consultants.

What about email and other communications?
We will use the details you provide to contact you about any suitable candidates for your firm or company's job vacancies. We may also send you information which we think may be of interest to you. You may elect not to receive such information at any time by sending an email to the contact address at the end of this privacy policy.

Can this privacy policy change?
Yes. This privacy policy can be changed at any time by us. If our privacy policy is changed the new details will be posted on this page.

What are 'cookies' and why do we use them?
'Cookies' are small pieces of information sent by a web server to a web browser, which enables the server to collect information from the browser. We use cookies to save your user name or password to allow easy access to our extranet sites.

New legislation came into effect on 26th May 2011 that changed the rules on cookie use by websites. The Information Commissioner accepts that these new requirements are challenging and has stated that businesses have a period of 12 months to comply before enforcement action will be taken.
