In recent years the in-house market in the UK has fully embraced the use of interim and contract lawyers. Many businesses also take on non-qualified legal professionals including, paralegals, compliance professionals, company secretaries, ISDA negotiators and document review specialists.
We work with clients across a wide variety of sectors including media, FMCG, sports, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, energy, professional services, retail, technology and financial services industries. They look for lawyers at all levels of seniority to take on short, medium and long term contracts.
Document review & projects
We are continually working with clients on large scale document review and regulatory change projects. Clients will take on paralegals and lawyers as well as other non-qualified legal professionals. Projects can last anything from a few weeks up to a year and beyond.
Speed is crucial when working on these projects and we have the ability to resource and fill these roles very quickly for clients. Therefore for candidates interested in these opportunities we are often able to get you started on the project very quickly; sometimes within 24-48 hours.
Interview processes tend to be shorter and in some circumstances can be done over Skype if a face to face meeting is going to hold up the process.
Benefits of working as an interim
being an interim gives you the opportunity to pursue other interests outside of the office, whether this be travelling or working in another career. By working on various contracts, you can still secure an income whilst fitting your work around other projects, commitments or hobbies
moving between various businesses will give you exposure to different types of work in different industry sectors
Managing external commitments
if you have additional commitments outside of the office (such as family responsibilities) a temporary role may allow you to work around these
working as an interim allows you to separate yourself from the everyday management and politics of an office environment
