The lateral hire activity across almost all Asian jurisdictions has slowed down in the past month, most likely due to the holiday season. Fewer than 10 partner moves were recorded between the four locations of Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong SAR and Singapore. However, at year-end, White & Case, Sidley Austin and K&L Gates announced their annual promotions with a significant number of new partners based in Australia and Hong Kong SAR.
