The Singapore market continues to gain momentum, with major international law firms such as Norton Rose Fulbright, DLA Piper, Goodwin Procter, Clifford Chance and Morrison & Foerster making new partner hires, as well as several major Singapore firms merging with other local players in the city-state and, more widely, across Southeast Asia.
A number of second-tier Chinese law firms are pushing hard to grow domestically with lateral hires, and internationally by opening new offices. Hong Kong is also seeing an increase in lateral hiring activity, with 7 major hires recorded and significant promotions in the city at partner level within leading US/UK law firms.
