Leading global law firm Paul Hastings has grown its European Financial Restructuring group with the hire of William Needham as a partner in London. Needham, a financial restructuring and distressed debt specialist, brings with him a wealth of experience from almost a decade in-house in private equity.
Needham started his career at Jones Day and Weil, Gotshal & Manges as an associate between 2008 and 2014, before moving in-house.
At Paul Hastings, Needham will co-chair the European restructuring practice alongside fellow partner Mei Lian. His expertise encompasses advising companies, sponsors, and investors on a wide range of financial restructuring matters, including distressed debt, bespoke financings, and alternative investments across Europe, as well as related M&A, acquisition finance, fund investments and disputes.
