Leading Legal Search Business SSQ Expands to New York

New York, NY – SSQ, the premier legal search business, is excited to announce the opening of its first U.S. office in New York.

For 20 years, SSQ has worked in partnership with leading international law firms and in-house legal teams to help execute their growth strategies across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It now will bring that same expertise and reputation for excellence to the U.S. legal market.

The new office will be led by James Newton, an experienced legal recruiter who has relocated from London to lead SSQ’s new U.S. initiative. The team in New York will offer a wide range of services to both law firms and in-house legal teams, placing top talent across the U.S.

“We are thrilled to be expanding to New York and are confident that our expertise and reputation for excellence, gained over 20 years, will make us a valuable asset to the legal community here,” said Jonathan Field, co-CEO of SSQ. “We are laser focused on offering “best in class” service to our clients in all of the most important legal markets across the world.”

“Launching a U.S. business has always been in our strategic plans given the importance, size and value of the market here,” said Adam Brown, co-CEO of SSQ. “We are lucky to have worked with many of the leading international law firms in other jurisdictions and see the launch of our U.S. business as the most natural expansion for SSQ.”

The new office opened for business on 1st February 2023.
